Data on sales figures provided by market research companies as well as auction establishments show the average wholesale sale price of used vans increasing again. The month of October saw a rise of around five percent comparing to September. It was the eighth month this year that average values increased and the third month in a row, according to the data delivered by the auction company of Manheim Auctions. While comparing with October last year the average wholesale prices of used vans are higher by an estimated thirty percent. It happens despite the average age increasing also – from some five months to around sixty. The mileage of used vans is also on the rise to reach the number of some eighty thousand miles. Sales directors and market analysts admit that this continued strengthening of wholesale prices of used vans is encouraging. It can be seen as a weak sign of economic revival returning slowly and gradually to the market. The analysts also point that a note of caution is advised as now a period of traditional seasonal cooling is coming slowly. The reason for continuous growth of prices of used vans is also seen in decreasing availability of reliable second-hand models and still low numbers of operators and individuals willing to buy new vans.
